Analysis about Factors Affecting Screening Process


When you are sieving materials, you must make the material in the loose state so that each particles can obtain the necessary energy and space for mutual displacement. In this way, the screening process is completed.

There are many affecting factors, including the nature of the material, the performance of the screening equipment and operation management of the screening machine. The natures of the materials which have the impact on the screening process mainly include the relative size of the particles and the mesh, the moisture of the material and silt content. When the particles are smaller than the sieve, after repeated contact with the sieve comparison, there will be sifting opportunities. The sifting probability of the particles mainly depends on: the ratio of the projection area and the mesh area on the sieve plane.
The performance of the sieving equipment and process parameters has the impact on the screening process. However, the same material use different equipments will have different screening effects. It mainly depends on the parameters of the process of screening equipment: the movement form of screen surface, the length of the screen surface, the width of the screen surface, the inclination and the shape of the mesh.
